This explains our estimate procedure... it can be more involved then the average estimate
|
The following is a breakdown of the hour
|
*Both parties includes ANYONE who has concerns about the job's aesthetic look, quality, longevity, timeline or financial obligations. Please be sure to schedule your estimate for a time when everyone is available.
(5-10 minutes) Sit Down: Time for questions and answers. I have questions to help me deliver the best possible estimate. We can also answer any questions you may have. Including: timeline, colors, painters, products, equipment, licenses and job-site practices.
(5-10 minutes) Walk Around: Take me on a trip around the house and talk about exactly what needs to get done. I use this time to develop any options or line-items you may want to see with your bid. This is also a good time to discuss areas that do not need work, which can save you money on your project.
(30 minutes) Price Work-up: We know how long it takes our painters to finish precise amounts of work. We measure only the work you want done, taking into account your quality expectations we discussed previously during the Sit Down. From here we can determine the exact cost of your project. Then we write up a bid including a detailed description of the work to be carried out.
(5-10 minutes) Sit Down Again: This time is crucial to make sure you understand the bid, make sure we did not miss anything important to your job and because during the Price Work-up we often find small details that need clarity. These last 5-10 minutes guarantees that we are offering the project you are looking for exactly how you want it done.
